General: Configure Switch

This display appears automatically when you pick the Local Bright.  It will also appear after you Pick a Switch for the other four switches. The selection for the current display is shown in Blue with the other two selections shown in Orange.

TOUCH to NAME

1. TOUCH to NAME
Enter or change the name of the current switch.

TOUCH to TOGGLE DIM

Be sure to toggle check mark OFF if light or switch cannot dim.

Z-WAVE ID

3. Z-WAVE ID
The Z-Wave ID is automatically assigned by the Z-Wave system.

TOUCH TO REMOVE SWITCH

4. TOUCH TO REMOVE SWITCH
The switch may be removed from the local Bright or deleted from the Brightswitch system completely. Options for removing the switch will change depending on whether is it a Z-Wave switch or a Brightswitch, and whether it is local (this switch) or located on another Brightswitch. When you remove the local Bright, it will cause a system reset and the Brightswitch will need to be setup again.

If the device is a Z-Wave device and not a Bright, a prompt will appear to allow removal of the device from the Z-Wave network. This process is described in Z-Wave settings part of this manual, but simply requires pressing the button or in other ways activating the Z-Wave device to be removed.

This button will open the local Bright's low level Z-Wave settings options. These are explained under Z-Wave Settings.

The Theme describes how the switch will look and operate. There are multiple themes described under Themes.

Backgrounds are the images used under the Theme. Standard backgrounds are provided, but new ones can be added by the Brightswitch web app at www.mybrightswitch.com.
