Dim Levels

These settings control Brightswitch display dim and bright settings, not the lights Brightswitch controls.

The settings are used to insure Brightswitch is usable, but not intrusive. During evening hours the display may be dimmed to completely dark to remove night time light, but awake to a soft glow to enable use when Brightswitch detects movement. During the day, separate settings provide a brighter display to insure ease of use, while still reducing the brightness when no one is in the room.

This display provides four separate dim level controls, two for day and two for night and a setting for how long to wait before making changes.  The higher settings are for when Brightswitch detects movement. The lower settings are for when the inactivity (motion) timer expires, meaning no one is in the room.

The Auto Calibrate Light Sensor button should be used during daytime hours.  It will enable Brightswitch to switch to Night time dim settings when the room goes dark.

The Auto Calibrate procedure is automatically run when Brightswitch is first configured, but may be required later if the lighting in the room was not at normal levels when configured, or if lighting in the room has changed substantially.

The inactivity timer also sets how long to wait before returning to the home screen from other switch screens, intercom or security.

***Please Note: Setting the dim level to 0% will turn off the touch panel and display (used for night time full-dark). Movement must occur before Brightswitch can be used.***
